Welcome to Saving 22

As you may have read in the "About Me" section of this website, I am Trevor Blaszczyk. I created this podcast and media outlet at the lowest point of my life. After serving four and a half years in the United States Army, I received notice that I would no longer be "suited" for service. At age 23, the doctors found lumbar scoliosis in my back after I went into the aid station to receive medical attention for my back. The week before, I flew on an MH-47G Chinook helicopter from Tennessee to Indiana to help repair the engine. On my ride home, I lay down to take a nice little slumber. When we arrived back home in Tennessee, I got up to carry on with my life, and suddenly I felt a tingling in my back. Years later, the tingle is still there, and it has nothing to do with my scoliosis. After receiving news that I would no longer be able to carry out my service in the Army, I sold my house to a friend who had baby number 3 on the way. Roughly two months before receiving this news, I went through a divorce. Jody won that battle (for those of you who know). I moved home to my family in Florida and the depression hit HARD. I didn't know what to do, the VA wasn't getting me in enough to see a psychologist, work was minimal, and the gym was just about all I had. After doing that for a few months, I decided to start video journaling. Finally, after a few weeks of video journaling, I realized I could post these journals online and perhaps people would watch it. Three years later, we have what is now called "Saving 22 | A podcast for veterans".
Below is the first-ever episode of the show.
